Do you feel like you are drowning? Then here are the keys and cure for BURNOUT!

Hi Friends,

How are you going? How are you really going?

Are you getting better at listening to your body? After all, it is giving us feedback all day long.

We must be smart enough to listen to it, and then wise enough to act on the information. Ignoring it can cause dire results. Illness, disease, cancer.

Remember if we don’t invest in our wellness, we will be forced to pay for our illness!

Last blog I wrote about how to ‘Avoid or Recover from Burnout’.

Despite people having more options and work flexibility now, more and more people ( approximately 80% by the end of the year) are in danger of experiencing the personal or professional pain from burnout.

Those symptoms again to watch out for –

Common Burnout Symptoms-

  • Constant overwhelming fatigue.

  • Regular headaches.

  • Stomach aches/Gut issues.

  • Frequent illness.

  • Changes in appetite/sleep.

  • Poor concentration

  • Poor performance

  • Sadness

  • Anger

  • Grumpy

  • Increase in alcohol consumption or substance abuse

  • Strained relationships

The 4 keys I wrote about last blog to address these-

1.      Value Boundaries - with your Self Worth (time, duties, communication)

2.      Value and Increase your Self Care activities and routine

3.      Better Sleep to repair our systems

4.      Better Fuel/Nutrition + water

As you can see, the focus needs to be back on you and your wellbeing. Right!

Which one if you powerfully chose to work on, would make the most difference for your wellbeing? (1, 2, 3 or 4 ?)

  • The big question needs to be, can you value yourself enough to make and enforce these changes.

  • Why because, your work, your friends, even your family may not value you enough.

  • Do you have enough self- discipline to make the changes, to avoid getting burnt out?

  • Do you have the support you need?

  • Or do you need a Coach to help hold you accountable to yourself, for yourself?

As usual love to hear your thoughts on your challenges or triumphs..

With love

Derek
